Inspired by many other sites on the internet which operate with a picture of the day or week (i.e. Thomas Hawk’s Digital Connection). Being realistic, it will not be feasible for me to attempt a picture a day, instead I’ll try and provide a picture (plus/minus) each week.
This first picture is from a small lake called Breiavannet in the middle of Stavanger city. The fountain looked slightly fiery, and I liked the atmosphere of dusk, which initially brought my attention to the motive. In the background an industrial crane can be seen, marking the preparation or facelift if you want, for Stavanger2008, European Capital of Culture.
The second picture is one of the pictures I decided to capture of the newest university building on campus; the logo was just put up now during the holidays. You can just barely see the “pond”, which is actually a piece of braille artwork. (Link: University of Stavanger)
