Neo1973 is not some online handle for a 34 year old Matrix wannabe. It is actually the name of a rather sophisticated mobile phone. OpenMoko’s FIC Neo1073, is a Smartphone, with a nice GUI, which also will allow programming savvy users to tweak the code. Currently there is still somewhat scarce information.
However some screenshots are available from their Press Release in November 2006 (Yes I know I am late. For detailed info check out this PDF)But after some of the negative hype around Apple’s iPhone being locked, this phone comes as a refreshing breeze.
